These remind me of before your meal snacks when you go to restaurants. Bet it’s tasty!
mmm!
Mmmmmmmm Mmmmmmmm! I can't look until dinner time, when my fast is over.
Susan, it does yah.
Kat, I know!
Aunty, I'm curious about your fasting. Is it once a week? For one day?
I fast every Monday. It starts after my Sunday dinner (so I eat up) and I just have water or tea on Monday during the day, and then I have a bowl of ochazuke (with reheated refrigerated rice) for Monday dinner. Believe me, it is the most delicious thing and I look forward to it ALL day. I put ume and might have a little bit of meat or fish if I have leftovers. I use refrigerated rice because it changes it from a non-resistant starch (bad) to a resistant starch (good).
The theory is that your body gets a chance to clear out the junk stuff and get a bit of a rest from digestive issues. I will write a post about it one of these days - the stuff I learned from Dr. Stephen Gundry in The Plant Paradox.
Aunty, that sounds so interesting! I should try it someday . . .
