I bought these awhile back at the swap meet. Even though I didn't know what they're used for they were $1 for all so . . . you know . . .
The other day I googled "pearl cotton mercerized". It turns out that they're used for weaving.
Do you think I could turn this into a small weaving loom?

Nice colors! You can also use them as embroidery or stitching threads. They might not be strong enough to be the weft on the loom. Though I have a piece of Japanese weaving called saki ori. The weft (vertical) threads are blue for about 4 inches, then red for 4 inches, which repeats about 5 times (the piece is rather large).
Then they use rag strips from old kimonos - but it could be anything - aloha prints, calico, etc. It is one of my favorite pieces of textile art.
can :)
Aunty, oooooh, that sounds beautiful.
Kat, LOL.
You can do anything you set your mind to do : )
Susan, thanks for the encouragement!
