Anon, it dawned on me later that I shoulda put a link to the recipe, and when I went online to do it, I saw your comment. I thought to myself "see, shoulda". I'll let Geri know what you said . . . so funny!
I think you should delete this post! Whenever I look at that ozoni, my mouth starts watering and I'm dying to eat it!
Tell Gerri I'll even bring the clams too!!!!
Seriously, where do you buy beef and pork bones? Do the supermarkets sell them? Can you tell I don't cook or shop? Just in case I might want to make this one day,
Anon, this is Geri's response: Chinatown....gotta get the bones with the marrow.....it's usually the whole.....I think it's leg bones, and they cut them up.
Thank you for the info even if only door #2! :( My mouth was watering and I was already planning my mizuna, mochi and clam shopping. Oh well, I need them anyway if I going make. I think.
My husband's family uses only clam juice from the can of hokigai and I think some liquid from canned mushrooms. It's ono, but I think won't be able to compare to Geri's. I might never know:(
(how's that for begging, LOL) Lucky I work in town so I COULD walk over to Chinatown one day.

K, Anon, I just sent an email asking for her to 1) make another batch or 2) let me know where to get the beef and pork soup bones from.
