Wendell's Tofu with Ground Pork

Wendell made this the other night and it was super ono. We think that it's the hondashi that did the trick.

He followed this recipe and used ground pork instead of turkey. Also, he used the smaller tub of tofu, but the big tub maybe woulda been better.

This sounds so yummy. I never heard of togarashi. I heard of tongarashi, but not togarashi.

My brother-in-law is from Lanai and knows Lanai Tabura. I should have him ask Lanai to put you on his show. I know you're a fantastic chef. Wendell's tofu dish looks yum .

Cannot go wrong with ground pork and the other ingredients. Hondashi makes everything taste more special. It is real winnahs in nishime.

Hi, this is off-subject even though I like the recipe! Since I have the time, I was looking at the older blogs. Wasn't a reader in the beginning & only now am I catching up. Your remodel entries showed an inside wall that looked blue and shinny; either it was the paint or plastic or something over the wall that reflected light. Since I am a little tired of constant cleaning projects during the stay-at-home this really caught my eye. I was wondering if your wall treatment means easy cleaning? My old drywall hates to be cleaned w/ a magic eraser. Did you figure out the strategy for ever clean walls? Thanks.

Kay, the actual recipe calls it "todashi".

Chet, Wendell and Landon are the good cooks. I'm actually pretty crappy. LOL.

Aunty, I think hondashi is good in fried rice too.

Anon, Wendell said that it's semi-gloss paint. And yes, he chose it because it's easier to clean.

We ate ramen today at a supposedly Japanese ramen place and they didn’t know what togarashi was. I like it in my ramen.

V, try make um!

Susan, it did add a good kick.
