I loooove Mariko's blog, THE little FOODIE. I love her writing style, her photos, her humor, her stories. This excerpt is from todays' post: "Cook the polenta longer. It takes forever. Something like 1 1/2 hours. Take it out of the oven when it doesn’t jiggle around so much. Eat it when it cools down or wait until the next day when it firms up. Eat it, and pat yourself on the back for making dinner. This means you’re amazing, and someone should totally give you a raise. . "
Today I learned where she gets her talent (and humor) from . . .
Her mom!!! Her mom has a blog called nippon nin with awesome photos and recipes too. How cool is that!!
I totally cracked up when reading one entry. She had made short ribs with chocolate sauce and wondered how her husband liked it. She wrote: "Although he didn’t say anything negative he was beaming ‘Please don’t make this again’ via his aura. Using my telepathy power, I sent him ’All right I won’t."
thanks for today
