This Picture is Worth a Trillion $$$

My brother forwarded this e-mail to me. I can't vouch for the authenticity of the photo and the words in the caption are not mine (I'm not that knowledgeable), but here are my words: H*LY CR*P!!!

House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., pictured standing, far right, speaks while colleagues Rep. Barbara Lambert, and Rep. Jack F. Hennessy, play solitaire Monday night as the House convened to vote on a new budget. (AP)
The guy sitting in the row in front of these two....he's on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores. These are the folks that couldn't get the budget out by Oct. 1, and are about to control your health care, cap and trade, and the list goes on and on.. Should we buy them larger screen computers - or - a ticket home, permanently? This is one of their 3-DAY WORK WEEKS that we all pay for (salary is about $179,000 per year).

Hey Jalna,
The fact that elected officials are literally wasting away our tax money on a game of solitaire... if you google the names.. this is actually the Connecticut house of representatives.

LOL When I take computer classes I always sit in the last row so no one can see me playing solitaire.

WOW! Thanks so much for your advertising about the bake sale and my fundraiser. You're too kind.

About the photo... Even if it is the Connecticut house... GROSS.

In law school, one of my friends took a deck of cards to class and played solitaire right on the table, to point out the fact that everyone else on their laptops were playing games on their computers during lecture.

Betty, maybe I shouldn't have been surprised, but I was. My jaw literally dropped.

Anon, I bet a lot of people feel the same way.

Erick, at least it keeps you awake.

Mariko, I love, love, love your efforts to help. You are so awesome.
