Stuff I Bought from Ross

I usually only pick up a few things when I shop at Ross so I don't really need to grab a basket or cart, but this time I did.

The prices that I quote below are the regular prices.  I did get a total senior discount of $2.60.

I use 2 teaspoons of chia seeds in my overnight oats which I still eat almost daily.  This was $3.49.

This was $2.99.  I'm thinking to use it when I make Cabbage and Sausage.

You know, I've never had Indian food before.  This was $3.49.  Still not exactly sure how I'm gonna use it.

I've bought this many times before.  Landon likes it.  It was $3.99.

K, canned sardines is not my thing.  But it is Didi's, so I got this for her.  It's a Product of Tunisia and was $2.99.

I finally bought this after passing on it on many previous trips.  As you can see, it was $5.99.   I think it's the cute glass jars that call to me.  I don't really need more glass jars.  But these are so cute, right?

The jars are totally cute and worth it. Because of you I look at the food section at Ross nowadays. I bought 2 bean soup packages but was too manini and only used half of a bag when I made soup because I thought it would expand - but it didn't so I had skimpy bean soup - but it was good cooked with ham hock and some portuguese sausage.

I went yesterday to look for the Tikka sauce but nothing. They did have the jams and garlic/onion spice. And they had a pizza crust kit for only 49c. Of course I bought a couple. I made it last night and it wasn't too bad of a crust. Next time though I will make the crust much thinner, and make several smaller pizzas since one box made 2 medium sized pizzas.

Aunty, as a fellow trying-not-to-be-a-hoarder, I'm so glad that you agree about the jars! Soup always seem to expand, and I end up with more than I expect. Your soup sounds like it was ono!

Susan! I made Chicken Tikka yesterday with the sauce. Stay tuned for the results! I have a bottle of pizza sauce in the pantry. I'll check for the crust kit next time I go. I like that price.

Kat, it's kinda ironic that I used to not explore the food aisle at all, and now it's the first place that I go to.
