My Whistle

I bought this whistle awhile back. I had always feared that if I ever was unexpectedly attacked that I wouldn't be able to scream or draw attention.

I usually hold it in my hands while I'm walking on the street, but I'm still not sure that I won't just be frozen. Maybe I should keep it dangling from my mouth just as a deterrent. At the least my attacker might think that I'm crazy and won't bother me.

I got it from Amazon and you can find it here. It came in a two pack so I gave the other one to one of my sisters. She walks a lot.

j: just carry pepper spray, I do in both my dog walking and hand bag. Just remember to know how the wind is blowing. I don't know either how I'll react if ever attacked but I've played that scenario over and over in my mind to be prepared. Hopefully you and I will never have to resort to them..-N

Kat, it was loud when I tested it out.

N, where did you get your spray from?

Great idea! I keep a Bat in my trunk here in Kalifornia! Since they don't let us carry guns anymore. Way too many crazies on the road!

It's good to be proactive....you never know when it may come in handy.

j: inherited it from my brother, but one time recently at Office Depot they were selling them on the cashier's counter. Or Amazon has them. I used it once to stop a pack of dogs from attacking my dog (that's how I learned to turn my back to the wind!! and it makes them really sneeze) and couple of other times from stopping loose dogs attacking my dogs.-N
