Isn't YouTube wonderful?! I stumbled upon this video and wanted to share. I thought it was so helpful, but I do need to practice. It makes me chuckle to think that some of you (like me) will be standing in front of a mirror checking out the tips. Let me know if you can do what she explains at around 4:10 to 4:26. I think it's so cool how her face transformed, but I can't do it. I end up only raising my eyebrows.

Very interesting video but that's a lot of tips to remember. I like the tip to suck my stomach in which I should do all the time. I didn't know how to pull back my ears and head either. My eyes got bigger and more flab under my chin appeared so I think I'll skip this one. Thanks for sharing this video. ~e
j: tried moving my ears...I think I kinda did it. LOL The best pose is the one taken with your instant camera. I know why you like it cuz it doesn't show all the wrinkles and grey hair. It creates a natural out of focus look which hides all the imperfections. Folks who saw my pix say I look so young. heh heh right. -N
THAT was SO GOOD, Jalna! I shall practice pulling my ears back, lol.
btw, I am thinking that our Kaimuki gang needs to take our funeral pictures. I know, sounds depressing, but for the sake of the families left behind, it would be good to have a nice natural picture. I'll talk to pal Fay about it. You game? We can use the tips from this video so we look good.
I know what you mean, E! I have so many flaws that it would take too much time addressing them before the picture gets taken. LOL!
N, I just love my Instax camera!!!
Aunty, that's actually a really good idea if you can get past the morbidity issue. You'll end up with a nice photo for your family to use . . . they don't have to go scrambling for a picture and end up cropping you out of some group photo, and you can rest in peace knowing that you'll look good at your funeral. LOL. My mom actually chose a photo that I've enlarged into an 8 x 10, and she even wrote her own eulogy for me. We did this years and years ago. Not as sad that way. I am totally game to take pictures for you guys. Wouldn't it be fun . . . posing for your funeral picture?! Maybe you can even photobomb Fay's. Hahahaha!!
Kat, don't know if it's true or not, but I read somewhere that a woman built her house from info she got off of YouTube!
I love this! I know most people (me too, actually) just stand stiffly in front of the camera at times. I try to go for three quarters, but don't always remember. I hope you don't mind my sharing this on my blog. It's so helpful.
Sheesh, so easy for her...she's beautiful!! How come she never taught us how to take a picture, not smile, and not look pissed off!! hahahaha remember that?? Leslie the pissed off bride!

I'll just let everything hang loose and smile because my pic will look worse trying to remember all these tips before the shot is taken.
Aunty has a good idea! My dad picked out his pic too : ( Sad to think about it.
I know Susan . . . good idea, but so sad to think about it.
