It started to rain and they were scattering. I had enough time to go grab my good camera and take a few shots (the last two here) before they were all gone.

Wow! I have not seen Praying Mantises in ages! We use to have so many in our yard growing up. Glad they are still around.

Perfect timing. Nice shots.
Interesting! Little critters communing, I wonder what they are doing there !
J, wait what? What is that white stringy thing, where was this, and what's that black pipe thing, But sooo cool. N
I would’ve been screaming inside while trying to take photos :)
SOOO COOL! They are such predators and eat each other. Fascinating creature.
No kidding lucky! In my 70 + years I have never seen anything close to this....lucky to even see one adult in the yard. Wow
Bonny ogg
If I was there, you would get a shot of me getting the heck out of there!!
Nice shots by the way lol
I hardly see them too!
It started to rain and they were scattering. I had enough time to go grab my good camera and take a few shots (the last two here) before they were all gone.
They musta just hatched and didn't have a clue what to do. LOL.
The black pipe thing is the paint brush handle that is Fred's home. Try search "praying mantis hatching", you'll see what that weird stringy thing is.
I know! Gotta take photos, right!!
They're scary to me. Especially when they go from side eye to full on stare. Hibby jibby.
It's rare for me to see even one adult too. So glad I had my phone with me.
With arms flailing in the air! Too funny!!
