Von's Korean Fried Chicken

I was at Palama Market the other day and decided to get some Von's Chicken.

I asked the gal at the counter which was their most popular, and she said the Crispy Fried Shoyu was their no. 1 most favorite.  So I ordered a 10 piece.

It was so so so so ono!  I must tell you that it was just drumettes and wings so the pieces were small.  But ho, it was such a nice treat for me.

Crazy expensive! I tried them once awhile ago but not only were the pieces small, hardly had meat on them and I think they gave me "old" ones. Glad you enjoyed them. I wonder if those air fryers would work to heat them up so they stay crispy.

J, yeah so ono. Von's is da best. But then I find any fried chicken that's hot off the deep fry is fab. When you gotta blow on it to cool it down and you bite down and that combo of oil and chicken hits, yowza,Heaven. :D. N

Izsmom, so true.

Aunty, the little container that it came in made me realize that there wasn't much to the order. I wonder if the air fryer would work. But I would be too lazy to bust it out of its cubbyhole to test.

Kat, I wonder if it's twice fried. I see them do that on Korean food YouTube videos.

N, LOL.

A little more expensive than here. We make our own following Korean Bapsang’s recipe. There’s a spicy and not spicy one . I air fry my chicken drummettes & wings. Really good!

Susan, I'll go check out the recipe. Thanks!

Chet, I can't remember if I've ever tried Popeye.
