The Children and Youth Day event was today, and it is HAYUGE. It is held on the grounds of the State Capitol Building and extends to the adjacent government buildings in the surrounding area, from Alapai to Richards Street, and Queen Street (makai) to Vineyard Boulevard (mauka). Me, Leslie and Erick separated early to cover different parts of the event and we never saw each other again!

Wow, you're fast! Soo neat that I got TOTALLY different pictures than you. I like it when it's huge like that, now I get to see the whole area! I was too lazy to walk allll the way down where you were! Love the pics! Esp the first one!!
I heard you were there! I only saw Erick at the beginning and then he was gone. At lunch time Les called me, but I was so far from the volunteers' food that I didn't want to walk back and bought a hamburger instead. Was cold . . . shoulda got the garlic fries instead.
Les, it's good we separated. Otherwise woulda been impossible to catch all that's there. The senator (or whoever the people are that we're shooting for) should be happy with the variety. I loooove that first pic too. The girl is just adorable.

Great shots..both indoor and outdoor challenges! It's so cool you are able to get so many people to pose...nice!
Wow great pics, great coverage. The children certainly were treated to a well organized event - so much for them to do.
looks like you and those kids had lots of fun.
What fun!!
Shun Wah, you're so right . . . indoor and outdoor challenges, constantly changing settings . . . good learning experience.
Celia, it's amazing to me how an event so huge gets to happening. I can't even fathom how you begin to organize something like this.
Hahaha, Kat, I DID have fun.
It was Betty!
Sooo, I see that Jordan was there...was Betty ??
Didi, I didn't see her.
