hahahaha!! you so funny...I'm gonna forward your blog to her!
Hahaha, you better not . . . I'm hoping she didn't notice.
Your reds are so awesome, they are so rich, bright and full of detail. The red on the 1st two shots are great. Did you know they gave you a dinged cake, I would complain. If it was you I would keep it to myself. Great shooting!
What is a Kanreki Celebration? Great pics and that cake is fantastic!!
Erick, I usually have problems portraying the reds as they actually appear to my eyes, but not in this case. It must be the Mark II . . . more reason for you to switch over to the dark side.
Betty, the cake WAS fantastic . . . until I smashed it! There's a good explanation of Kanreki celebration here.
Thank you, Jalna, for this info on the meaning of the birthday celebration. I never knew this! It certainly is very interesting. Everything has meaning in the Asian cultures. Needless to say I am not knowledgable of a lot of them.
I saw the smashed frosting. That is what Les is referring to in her comment! LOL!! I just thought it might have happened taking the cake out of its cake box. :)
