Sump: a pit or hollow in which liquid collects, in particular. I never heard of "sump" before until our yard flooded . . . twice. Workers were at my house yesterday creating a sump.
It runs along the whole side of our property. Hopefully, this will solve our flooding problem.
j: Kona thinking hey they found my secret hiding spot. Seriously you're wise to do this before Lane comes. Until I worked in Waikiki didn't know what a sump pump was either but since that area is built below the water table, sump pumps were installed at our hotel's garage to pump out the water too. I think most Waikiki hotels need the sump pump.I'd think Ala Moana too since I use to see sand all on the bottom of the garage, like ours had too

Just in time for possible flash flood from Hurricane Lane. Good precaution for peace of mind.
Just in time for Hurricane/Tropical Storm Lane. Praying it’ll dissipate and/or veer far away from us.
