Yesterday was the Niu Valley Community Garage Sale. 18 homes participated this year. I look forward to this event every summer. I usually go first thing at 8:00 in the morning before it gets too hot. The weather was especially nice yesterday. I only found a few knick knacks and ended up spending just $5.25 in total, but it was great exercise and fun to boot. This Croods DVD was $1.00. I already have the movie, but . . . you know . . . you can never have enough of The Croods. It's one of my favorites.
I loooooove this Swarovski crystal cigarette case. The gal I bought it from said that she decorated it herself. It was $1.
I'm gonna turn it into a watercolor palette.
I got this case from the same gal. It was also $1.
I'm thinking of making a miniature palette with it, but it's pretty tiny so I need to figure out what to use for pans.
This book was 25 cents. I like the simple drawings in it so I plan to use it for reference when I draw cartoons.
This eyeglass case was $1. I think the fabric is so pretty. Maybe I can use it as a gift box for a present.
I used to use a lot of these back in the day when I did photo shoots. I rarely do shoots now, but this half spool was only 50 cents so I couldn't resist.
This ball-jointed doll was only $1. She doesn't bend at the waist or ankles but is otherwise very posable. Hopefully, it'll help me with drawing figures.

Wow! Great finds. I like the color and design of the eyeglass case.
j: score! Can't believe someone made an actual cig case in this day and age. Wow, relic.Esp solid cases cuz they are heavier than plastic which I prefer and use. I love any and all Japanese fabric except I don't sew either. You're such a bargain finder! -N
