Here is my painting for this week's class. The teacher kept telling me to darken the shadows. She might've told me that about 3 or 4 times. Each time I would add darker paint and ask if it was enough, and each time she would say no. It made me realize just how much bolder I need to be with the shadows.

Wow! I love this! You are good. You should frame this too.
That is an amazing painting! I ordered my first paint by color thing, and since it was 50% off and free shipping,I ordered another one the next day and the frame so I can show it off after...no one has to know it’s paint by color & number 😂.
j: Your pix is very bright and airy feeling. Kinda hard to go bold with dark shadows, yeah? Like if you're too bold then what. Though your figures should be casting a light shadow, I think? So the vegan diet didn't work for Landon? What about you and your tests? -N
You are loving it, yes? Watercolor is SO hard for me, but I shall keep on plugging on. Shadows are easy for me - if I mess up, then I can blame it on the shadows, lol. Good thing that I am using cheap paper.
j: took a look-see...wonder what your teacher would say about some of this 'art' -N https://www.boredpanda.com/celebrities-who-are-also-artists/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=BPFacebook
N, you're right!! I totally forgot about the shadows for the figures. LOL!! Landon did give up on the vegan diet . . . was too hard for him. I do sneak in a little meat once in awhile, some ground meat in nachos or soups. My test results have been good. The doctor said to keep up with whatever I'm doing. Your link was so interesting.

Maybe she should kindly stop telling you what you see in your minds eye! Just sayin' .... ; )
Looks too dark to me now after she told you.
You just do what is best for you Jalna!
ALL of your Paintings are Wonderful!
Plus! Maybe she's Jealous! ; )
I'm sure you could teach her a thing or two!
And now you need a painting studio/art class next to your Restaurant, craft store, etc. etc..... hehe! ; )
You are so talented, Jalna!
