Wow, that's a lot of food!
Ono licious J!
how come the bibim kooksoo looks so anemic? no chili pepper on? Whaaaa???
v
Mich, sometimes it's embarrassing the amount we order for just the two of us. LOL!!
It was so onolicious, Cloudia.
V, I was kinda shocked to see the lacking of "redness", but was also surprised that it was good anyway. But if you're expecting spiciness, you'd be disappointed. I did add your tofu dressing to the leftovers when I ate it the next day.
Good for stick to your belly gallstones;)
Yummm... I love bi bim kook soo.
Meat jun is one thing I never hear of here on our island. Is it a Hawaii dish?
Price wise, you can't beat yobo food for getting bang for your buck. I love sudubu with all the banchan.
For sure, Anon.
Me too, Kay.
Really, Susan?? I always assumed it's a regular Korean dish. Wonder if it's a Hawaii Korean thing.
Chet, is that the tofu soup? I looooove that too.
Yes, its the tofu soup, so yum!!
everything looks so good! but lots:)
whoaaa.... Yummys can learn a lot from Kim Chee....the Ala Moana one charges like $18 for their Kalbi Plate ???
Choke yah, Kat. We had leftovers for two days! LOL!
Whaaaa, Dd??!
Meat juhn is technically not a korean dish. Koreans use a zucchini type squash and fish to make juhn. I hope it was someone from Hawaii who developed it! could be famous like loco moco and spam musubi!
Yup, looked it up. Anything "jun" is a Hawaii Korean thing. I guess I'd have to try it when I go there : ) or try to make it myself.
Anon, I didn't even know that.
Susan, Kim Chee III makes really good meat jun. Hard to explain, but it's kinda "fluffy".
My favorite location is Kim Chee II in Kaimuki. Parking a pain but love it there. The last time we were there the food took forever to some out so they comp'd us mac salad. Was different but good. There were taro cubes mixed in. Love the meat jun. Wish I could make a two combo plate of meat jun and the big bone kalbi.
Kobi, I like Kim Chee II too but yah, the parking.
oooh it sounds like the bibimkooksoo is for me!!! I'm craving some Korean food after being out on the road for the last ten days...
Yah, it's not spicy at all, Les . . . perfect for you.
