I suck at remembering numbers, and all of a sudden there are a bunch of door keypads that I have to deal with daily. There are three doors at work that have this one.
This is the one on the door to my "office"/store room/laundry room.
This is the one on the restroom door.
And guess what. My house has one too. I found that it's easier for me to memorize the position of the buttons rather than the actual numbers.
Les, one time I was at the ATM machine and I couldn't remember my passcode . . . one that I had been using for years. I think that could easily happen while I'm standing in front of one of these doors.
I know how you feel. We have cypher locks at work. It drives me crazy when the combination is change, especially after returning from a vacation, no one lets you know. We have to deal with PIN numbers, passwords, etc. How can we remember when we're not suppose to write it down. At my age, it's not easy to remember, it called "makuleness". I suppose on the positive side, it keep our mind engaged....lol.
Aunty, I have stood in front of doors pressing and pressing until someone from the inside had to come to open it. Never happened at home yet, but we do have a key hidden in the yard that will unlock the door just in case.
j: OF again but I read on FB that Soko Ga Shirtai will end after 20 years and they're starting a new one http://kikutv.com/soko-ga-japan/! totally cool - N
I'm not bad at memorizing certain numbers. I even memorized my credit card number which is not wise because buying things online nowadays is so easy to do!! One time I was at the bank and for some strange reason I drew a blank with my bank acct number and had to call my daughter: /

holy crap. i'd get locked out everywhere if I had to look up all those codes!

I'm terrible at remembering numbers. It would be a nightmare for me. LOL

I think I want a doorman, or door robot. When he sees me coming, the door unlocks and opens.
With this kind of keypad, the one in control can change it and you would be locked out, right? Danger. Unless you have the control.
I can relate, Izsmom.
Chet, "makuleness" . . . funny!

Yikes! This would kill me!
Hahaha ;) That would be too many for me to remember too.
Wow, N . . . that's actually good news! Hate to say it but as much as I loved Soko Ga Shiritai, the episodes were so old and outdated.
Hahaha, Kat.
I'm so impressed, Susan! I have more of a draw-a-blank kinda memory.
LOL, Kay.
I think you'd do okay, Susie.
