I can appreciate that! As a young surfer, and body surfer growing up in Hawaii, I always had to have my special waterproof diving watch!
Don't even rememba why I needed to know the time out in the water. I guess it was just the cool thing to wear.
I have a nice Casio divers watch right now that needs a new battery. I think I'm going to have the new battery installed, and wear my divers watch while I ride my bike along the Pacific Beach boardwalk for the nostalgia!
I actually have not worn my watch since I bought my first cell phone in 2003, because it tells me the time. So actually, I do not know why anyone needs to wear a watch anymore. Since everyone has cell phones. But I think watches are fun and cool!
Ooooh Kay, you should see his baseball cap collection.
Totally yah, Susan.
You're so right, Aunty!
Mark, I haven't been wearing my (one) watch recently too. I think it must be a guy thing to think that watches look cool.
Planny yah, Kat.
Dd, thank you for the watch box! One was good enough. No more room on top of the dresser for another one. I think Wendell can just keep his favorites in the box as he gets more . . .!!!! I didn't know Cy likes watches. Good to know.
30, Kawika!!!! Totally must be a guy thing. My sister bought the case for Wendell. She mighta ordered it from Amazon. It looks exactly like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Sodynee-WBPU12-03-Jewelry-Organizer-Leather/dp/B00SAOY4GY/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1455998373&sr=1-1&nodeID=7586146011&keywords=watch+case
I still have the first watch my mom bought me when I was six years old (I am 52 now). It was a Timex bought at Gems department store Kapalama in the 60's.
Great, Kawika. You can put your favorite ones in there. I can't believe you have your first watch! I wish I had mine. I was in the second grade. It was a Cinderella watch. My dad got it for me on his payday from the PX.

Whoa! It must be a guy thing, cuz Len is the same way!
Sort of like Art who likes t-shirts, but Art's collection is MUCH larger.
Hmmm, "kinda" huh...more like "really"
Since he cooks for you so well and probably wears rubbah slippahs instead of designer shoes, he deserves to have his collection of man jewelry.
Very nice, and nice box too!
