I took these pictures back in November, but never had the chance to post them. Keeaumoku Super Market is across from HMSA, but not really situated on the street. It's kinda recessed in so you gotta look good. It's very similar to Palama Market.
Rand,we actually bought food from Korea-moku, but it was kinda disappointing. I had this fried tofu/bulgogi dish. The fried tofu was mostly salty and Costco's bulgogi is waaaay better than theirs.
I know Kat. Makes me wonder how long an average Korean family would take to go through that bottle.
Erick, so good that it's right across the street yeah!
hmm.. I notice most of the shots are at waist level.. but how did you manage to get them all focused? I really like the depth of field in the bottles in the refrigerator shot.. I visited there but it's really daunting since can't read the label so you gotta know what you are really buying.
Ahhhhhh, you so majorly busted me Shun Wah! So funny . . . you're right . . . most of these were shot from chest or waist level without looking through the viewfinder. Normally I try to aim one-third in front because DOF goes one-third in front and two-thirds behind the focal point. So when I'm not looking through the viewfinder, I hold the shutter down to autofocus, and before I click I aim a little higher and then press the shutter. It doesn't always work though so I have to crop out the blurry portion.
Betty, sorry looks like your comment got held up. You're right, you can spend a lot of time in that store, especially trying to figure out what some of the stuff is!

Neat store. The kind one could spend a lot of time just looking at all they have to offer.
I hear they eat kim chee at every meal so it would probably go fast!
Wow, that's a lot of kimchee!
don't get much of a chance to checkout your pic lately. but of course they are just awesome, as always. OMG!!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, Anon. It's awesome encouragement for me.
Love to shop at this store and Nijiya Market.
I still need to check out the new Nijiya Market Edwina. I like the one on University.
