Tsunami Warning 2/27/2010

My son Landon woke me with a phone call at about 2 a.m. this morning and informed me of the tsunami warning. I called our office manager at about 5:30 a.m. and soon thereafter was told that we didn't need to go in to work.

I took a walk down to the marina which is a stone's throw away from our house. The water was so still it provided me with this view.

We live a little past the tsunami evacuation zone, so after I got back to the house, I recharged my phone. . .
and my Nintendo DS . . .
gathered up my only valuables . . .
and waited for word.

I watched some of the newscasts online. Am so glad Hawaii was spared. It could have been so much worse.

I just noticed the temperature on your TV. 65 degrees, that's pretty cool for Honolulu. 65 degrees in the winter time here is warm!

hahhaha...your only valuables...i think that's all I would've took with me too! Well that and some munchies...my day was totally unproductive too, but I did get through one stupid room (after about 2 hours) in the stupid tower of spirits! Now I'm stuck in another...*sigh* when will this end?

Awww Yoshi, I was very productive . . . I rescued a pirate, got ice to the fish lady, gave fish to a hungry man, got 3 keys from 3 birds, kept missing 2 grass rabbits, got new navigator clothes, gave iron to the lumberjack . . . and more!

I'm soooo glad too Betty. It's cold, windy and rainy today.

Les, I'm kinda at the Big Boss's key in the Fire Tower. I probably gotta get Landon to kill the boss for me. That's why I'm roaming around the countryside instead.

The occasional calmness of the water was an interesting site. Nice photo of the marina. I wish I had some camera equipment like your's to take my photos yesterday!!

BTW, any suggestions on a beginner w/advanced features camera capable of wide angle shots, able to adjust to capture the view out of windows while not having very dark interiors that can transfer digital files via Bluetooth? My main use would be to photograph real estate since my Nexus One phone camera is soooo junk!

Hey Rick, to capture a darker interior as well as the view from a window, you gotta use flash.

Hey, glad you set your priorities in the order of importance!! Funny since I also charged my phone and batteries for my camera, and my laptop..just in case.

Funny Shun-Wah, I later realized that I didn't even pack up the jewelry that I have. I was only worried about my camera equipment.
