I made a mad dash to the Kawaiaha'o Church after work today to try and catch Nick Vujicic in person. I had trouble finding parking, so I got there late and ended up with a seat in the back. It was well worth it though to get to witness this very charismatic young man and his special message.
Fawn, I don't know if you're gonna see this in time, but he'll be at the Hawai'i State Capitol rotunda on Beretania Street at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 20.
Those were really awesome sharp and well balanced shots given you were so far back. Did you use flash? He's an amazing human who gives those who are able to meet him an amazing gift of hope and faith. Thanks for sharing..glad you were able to rush there and get the pics.
Thanks Shun-Wah. I took a lot of shots, and most didn't come out. What you see is mostly thanks to Photoshop and not skill - cropped, sharpened and white-balance corrected. I used an 85mm f1.8 lens on my 40D at 1600 ISO with settings around the 1/80 f3.2 range. No flash. I kinda contorted my body so that I could rest my elbows on my leg to steady the camera.
