Loraine worried that her leaning cement wall might someday fall and hurt her elderly neighbor. So a few members of the New Hope Ministry spent their morning today helping to demolish the wall in preparation for a new one to be built next week. See more "before" pictures on Tish's blog. It humbled me as I witnessed these men as they toiled in the rain and mud in this most unselfish act of service.
mPERFECT! Right place, right time...thanks, Jalna, for braving the weather, unknown destination, unknown people...ESPECIALLY to capture that perfect last shot...everyone looks satisfied..."MISSION ACOMPLISHED" is written all over their faces. THANK YOU for being there!
It was MY pleasure, Tish. Thanks for inviting me! It was a great experience. If you get to post your pictures, I'd like to link it, especially to show the "before" shots that you took.
Betty, I am not a church-goer, but I did pray to God awhile back and asked him to show me a way in which I could help people. Maybe, just maybe, he'll allow me to document and show others the goodness that exists in people and the great deeds that can be accomplished with the caring heart.

What a rewarding experience! The photos are great too! Glad you were able to document this selfless act on the part of these volunteers.
Didi, It sure looked like a sweet potato, and in fact they bagged it for me and I forgot it.
Good eye tippy! It's on Gulick.

I thought so. I live on Gulick!! LOL
Jalna, God hears the desires of our hearts and answers. That is evident in this photo shoot.
Oh my God tippy, so small island.
