My cousin Dennis goes diving for tako every weekend. He makes the best dried tako . . . soft, perfect taste, not too salty. He dropped this bag off at my mom's. I separated my portion to take home.
Sigh... Pogo Again

I don't normally post of Saturdays but I thought this Editorial cartoon in
the Honolulu Star Advertiser was so perfect that I had to share it with you.

ONO!!! I wish I could eat tako!
Betty, I scarfed mine already. If I ever get some more I'll send you some. Oh, wait a minute, did you mean you "wish" 'cause you're allergic, like you're allergic to shrimp?
yeah! it's a bummer!! I can only eat fish!
SLURP.....Can you EVEN believe how we became tako eating animals in the parking lot....oh my..;o}
Your photos got my dad onto the internet for the very first time. He was very tickled to see his tako on the web for the world too see! Thanks for giving him this thrill - Leah
Didi, I know, when Dennis asked me who was the one that liked tako, I told him Sweetie, but when he gave me the bag, I said, "No, I mean me!"
Leah, it's TOTALLY my pleasure. He really does make the best.
Dried tako, my favorite! Is it smoked too? My mouth is watering.
Erick, not smoked, but would you believe oven dried? Have you ever had fried smoked tako. Palolo Market used to make them. I don't know if they still do, but that was really good.
can we get the recipe posted?!?!?
I've tried to make some on my own (dried tako) but it never really came out decent.
Thanks!
fitzfamo8, I'll try and see if I can get Dennis' recipe. I know he said that he boils it first and then puts it in the oven to dry.
