U Arts in Osaka

U Arts is an art supply store located in the Doguyasuji Shopping Street area in Osaka.  The "street" is actually a covered arcade, and is where people usually go for kitchen and restaurant supplies.

I lucked out because it was really close to our hotel.  I also lucked out because it carries cute cat things, and one of my sisters has recently become a Cat Lady.

Such a dangerous store! What did you buy from there?

This store is great! Tiny but they currated their collection so well and they take credit cards. But the stairs! Yikes! When leaving, I nearly fell (thank goodness for handrails!) which made my kids behind me gasp then 2nd kid nearly fell as well. It didn't help that it was raining so our shoes had made the stairs slippery on the way up.

Bonny, I went while Wendell was having one of his massages, so I got to shop leisurely. It was great.

Aunty, so abunai! I shoulda taken a picture of the stuff I bought but I forgot. Bah! I bought a bunch of Copic markers, a set of Holbein gouache paint, Posca markers, Mitsubishi Hi Uni pencils that I've been wanting to try, mechanical pencils, a few pens and some cute cat stuff for my sister. I spent 9,000 yen which back in the day woulda been $90, but now is around $60. Sheesh, I like go back now.

jam jar anon, those stairs!!! Like climbing up and down a ladder.

J, I would go nuts. Abunai for me for sure! And not only the stairs, for my wallet. Yen went way, way down. Are you gonna watch the eclipse. I can't see sunrises here and it's too $#@*! early for me. Are you gonna take photos. -N

Chet, hoo hoo!! Have a nice time!

N, not sure if I'll be able to see the eclipse from my house. If it's too low, got houses blocking. I might need to drive to Sandy Beach (if I not lazy).

Kat, I was happy.

Izsmom, scored!

Susan, me too!!
