MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Even though the button shows how I really feel, I do wish all you peoples a Merry Christmas Day today.  No stressing allowed . . . only relaxing . . . and eating.

We're staying home again this year, just the three of us.  Wendell made prime rib last night.  Not sure what's on the menu for today.  Maybe leftovers.

Jalna!

I love your blog!
Go on Instagram to see their Christmas Menu for this year. They also offered a Thanksgiving Menu too. A bit expensive but it feeds 10-12. I love leftovers. LOL

J, as I get older realize Christmas is all about children and the wonder they hold for the season. Maybe when I worked because of all the decorations but it's just another day for me. I'm a Grinch about it because of the traffic, the awful parking and the crowded stores when I just need a few supplies. And now the fireworks are starting in intensity. -N

I ordered the rib roast from Lanakila Kitchen this year - but wasn't that good. Last time it was prime rib and THAT was real ono.

The rib roast was huge and it said to cook at 300° until it reaches medium rare temp of 130° but it took forever - like 3 hours and the sage and rosemary topping got all burnt during the last few minutes of high heat. So it wasn't done until 9:00 pm - but the gravy on rice was good.

But I am a bah humbug kind of Christmas person and I am just very glad it is over.

Happy New Year, my friend!

hoo mama! I hate from Thanksgiving until after new year! Did only 1/4 of my Christmas shopping so maybe I'll celebrate Chinese New Year! Yah, that's the plan and I'm sticking to it!!!
(sure hope Gerri makes her ozoni. I'm free this year, hehehe)
I last minute ordered the holiday pack from Side Street Inn and couldn't get a pick up slot for Christmas day so I picked up the evening before and reheated or flashed the next day.
Cannot go wrong with fried rice, garlic chicken, pork chops and kalbi! for 3-4 people but can easily feed 5-6!

But happy holidays to your and your family! Even though I love your blog, don't stress and take all the breaks you need!

V, thank you!! Happy New Year to you too! Sounds like that Side Street Inn pack is popular! I wonder if Geri is making her ozoni. She didn't mention.

I'm with you on this.
But Happy New Year, Jalna. Fingers crossed the fireworks aren't too deafening.
