Pancakes on a Hexclad

Landon and I got Wendell a Hexclad frying pan for Christmas. Wendell baptized it yesterday by making some pancakes.  He tried out a new recipe, and the pan worked so good that the first three pancakes got burnt!  😆   After Wendell lowered the heat from "4" to "1", the pancakes came out just right.

Not perfectly round in shape, they were fluffy and had a bit of a crunch on the outside.  Too yummy.

Izsmom, I ate the burnt one and was only gonna eat one bite, but. . . .

Kat, so fluffy and absorbent . . . soaked up choke syrup and buttah!

Aunty, Wendell usually eats pancakes several times a week and religiously follows the recipe in the DLS Cook Book, but he decided to try this recipe out and am glad he did.

i've been checking out cookware and can't decide because so many and the prices for sets go from $80 to $1,000! Don't mind paying if it's good stuff that will last, but each one has something that is a deal breaker, like did you know some all clad should not go in dishwasher?
ahhh, for someone who tries not to cook, costco kind is good enough. But then again, I bought cheapy non stick from costco and within the past several years and they all junk already!
I just use the krustez buttermilk mix. just water and the mix. pau!

V, I know what you mean about pans getting junk after a few years. My nephew who's a chef bought the hex clad for home use and loved it, so decided to get it. Plus I needed a Christmas present for Wendell. I used to like that Kurstez mix too.

Chet, you know, I have yet to eat at Liliha Bakery though I've heard it's good.
