Dinner as well as breakfast the next morning was sit-down Teishoku style, making for nice and relaxing as well as delicious meals.
Breakfast the next morning was not until 7:30 am so Sweetie and I took a short walk before breakfast. I thought that this baumkuchen displayed in a store window was cool. Baumkuchen is cake made on a spit. Thin layers of batter are evenly brushed on and rotated over a heat source.

Amazing how "pretty" the Japanese make food look!
Oh my gosh! Everything looked delicious! I can't believe that's breakfast fare.

Oh boy. You must be missing that quality and perfection of food. The beauty of the presentation and the simple ingredients make me long for Japan. It is no wonder that you go so often.
Teishoku courses look delicious. Your hotel's one is couple notches above what I had in Nara. It almost looks like Kaiseki style, in the way of the preparation. Definitely yum.
Really nice yah, Mich.
I loved it, Izsmom.
I am missing it already, Aunty!
