After apple picking we boarded the bus to take a scenic drive along the Oirase River Valley. The bus did make a short stop so that we could disembark and take a few photos of the river.
What kinda surprised me here even more than the "Caution Bear" sign was the one next to it warning of pickpockets. I never would have thought that there would be pickpockets in Japan.
The rest of these scenic photos were taken from the bus. The camera did well considering the bus was moving. I upped the ISO so that I could raise the shutter speed. Auto mode didn't work for these.
We stopped for lunch at a restaurant called Dining Ohsugi. We were told that we would be having box lunches. I totally wasn't expecting what we actually did get.
This was the "box" lunch. Each tier of the box held something different.
Would you believe that the lunch cost only $10?
thanks for today

Your posts keep getting better. The pics in the bus...wow, I really felt the fall season. And the "boxed" lunch, I'll take that any day!!
wouldn't never thought pickpockets in Japan, too. Love the box lunch. I love the Japanese for their food presentation.
you gotta be careful when riding the escalators, pickpockets often lurk there. that bento looked awesome!
OMG, the food looked so good! Love the bento BOX!
Awesome! And how wonderful that the driver let you get off to take the photos. It's really hard on a moving bus. I've got a lot of blurry photos.
Thanks Izsmom!
Thank you, Susan!
Surprising about pickpockets yah, Chet. That box was so cool.
Wow, good to know, Kat. Loved that box too!
Mich, so surprise yah!
Kay, he had to pull over to the side where there was not much room.
