My Subaru Impreza
My Rav4 was only 3 years old, and at the time that we bought it I thought it would be the last car that I would ever own. But Aunty was having a hard time getting in and out of it, and after a traumatic incident a few weeks ago with me and my sisters where she ended up sitting on the ground in a parking lot, me and Wendell decided to get another car . . . one with a low chassis for Aunty.
We had actually been looking around for awhile, and this past weekend we picked up this Subaru Impreza.
In my driving lifetime, I've had a Chevy Nova, a Datsun 510, two Honda Civics, an Acura TL and the Toyota Rav4. I can honestly say that I like driving this Impreza the best by far. I wish I had tried one out a long time ago. I don't know anything about car engineering. I don't know if it's the all-wheel drive or the "boxer pistons" or the horizontal layout of the engine that makes it so, but I do know that it is the smoothest riding, most easily maneuverable car that I've ever driven.
With Subaru Hawaii's Summer Sales Event's offering of $1,000 cash discount and with the trade-in for my Rav4, we ended up with a balance of about $9,500. I think we got a good deal . . . and I just loooove the car. If you ever are looking for a new car, you should go check it out. Ask for Rex.

nice!
Wow, cool! All wheel drive is awesome, you feel like you have more control. What is a Nova? LOL
Chevy Nova, WoW! I remember riding those things back in the 80's on Kauai.
If we can only figure out the phone functions.... :)
Thanks Dean!
I do feel more in control, Erick.
Hahahaha, Myko. It was in the 70's that I had that car.
Les, I tried to read the manual, but got bored. Hahahaha!!

Being a owner of a subaru since 2000, I had to give you my comments on your new purchase. I got to drive my son's 2013 impreza sport H/B 5 speed a few weeks ago up in the Pacific NW, it was his 1st purchase after graduating from college and nailing down a job that enables him to buy a new car and smoke cigars on his roof top of his downtown studio while sipping on Scotch, I call him "Mr Big Time" the car is GREAT, handling, traction on wet/dry roads, gas milage and is loaded with options. the boxer engine is a very reliable engine, my daughter has my 1st Forrester on the mainland, 150,000 and my current Forrester has 135,000, yes I do a lot of driving around this island. I got to drive the Impreza after we went camping on the 4th, only my wife and I came back early, we had to take a short ferry ride and drive about 100 miles back to the city, he forced me to shower the night before so I wouldnt ruin his new car smell. FYI, you dont sweat on the mainland
Great Purchase!
Enjoy the Ride

CT, you should still be blogging! You're so entertaining and very informative! Thanks for confirming what I've been slowly learning daily as I drive to and from work.
I think the car is super nice! You and your sisters are really caring people.
Awww . . . thanks Akemi!
