Korean Cucumber

Palama Market had Korean cucumbers on sale for $1.39/pound, and since I'm still into making Quick Cucumber Kim Chee, I went to pick up some.

It's supposed to be sweeter and less bitter than regular cucumbers, but I can't really tell the difference.  I did like the firmness and smaller seeds.

This is the batch that's going to my mom.  She likes it a lot.

We don’t see those prices for cucumber anymore. I love them so I just buy the cheapest which is maybe $1.99 a lb on sale.

j, you have enticed me. lol. Walmart had a small bottle for about $4 of the kimchee sauce so I am gonna try it. The store bought lasts less than a week before rotting, so maybe a smaller serving would suit me. Thanks!! -N

Susan, sometimes they go for $.99/pound at the swap meet.

Izsmom, if Japanese and Korean cucumbers were the same price, I'd choose the Korean. I think mostly for the density and small seed size.

Kat, I liked them.

N, good luck!

Chet, LOL, sounds so refreshing!!
