My sister Geri and her husband are recovering from Covid. Yup, them too. Their sense of taste is returning, so Geri's husband was craving this dish.
Looks so ono, yah!!
Cut 4 huge chicken thighs with skin into about 2 inch slices. Sprinkle salt and pepper and set aside.
Slice green onion and ginger into slivers (about 3/4 cup each).
Coat chicken with flour and fry in oil.
Set into plating and top with ginger and green onions.
Heat 1/4 cup vegetable oil + 2 tablespoons sesame oil. Pour over ginger and green onion, sizzling.
Sprinkle with shoyu.
Tada!!

V, I know, right?!
Sounds kinda easy and VERY ono! The sizzling oil at the end is like steamed fish. Messy but so worth it. I gotta try.
First of all, oh no, didn’t know Geri and her husband were out with COVID. Ever since the COVID mandates ended every week we’ve been hearing of someone at church coming down with it. I had it about two months ago. Thank the Lord it was mild. Will be praying for Geri and hubby too. Second, Omigosh that looks supah onolicious. I think I can I make it too, not too many ingredients and the steps are easy enough for me to follow. LOL
Izsmom
Aunty, maybe even I might try!
Izsmom, I think Geri is back to work today. I'm glad your case was mild. I'm thinking it's only a matter of time before it comes to my household. I hardly go out, but the guys in my house are pretty active. I hope you get to make this chicken dish!!
hope it never comes to your house. this looks ono!
Wow, this recipe is different, gotta try too!
Ho, looks better than Bangkok Chef on Nuuanu Ginger Chicken.
Kat, me too.
Susan, good luck!
Chet, I agree!
So easy, it's kind of like the ginger and green onion fish recipe.
