Here are a few things that caught my eye while I was looking through ads a few days ago.
At Marukai
Also at Marukai. Seems cheap, yah.

although I like sumo oranges, I decided that the cara cara oranges are way better because of the price. Costco had $8 a bag, vs. $9.97 or so at Sam's either way, so juicy and sweet. I do buy sumo just because they're good but just enough to satisfy me. v
What a coincidence! A friend told me to get the Navel oranges at Costco, but we made a mistake and bought the Cara Cara. I must say, they were really good. We're glad we made the mistake.
I wish they would reopen/open another Marukai. The parking there is so limited. They should convert one two Times Market into Marukai or another Don Quijote. LOL
Oh boy. Such good sales! I went to Don Quiote yesterday and had so much good stuff! Bought the mochi mochi ramen because my son-in-law loves mochi. They also had that wood shelf that was on sale at Marukai for the same price. Today I went to Safeway Kapahulu and bought huge pack of sirloin steak ($5/lb!) and used my Talenti ice cream raincheck (2 for $5!) and had a meat lovers pizza for $5 and cooked ribs for $5. It is like a spring awakening - all these great sales and so much to eat! Love it!
I shop at Marukai so often. I go when prices are marked down for bento, sushi and musubi; so that's my sale. One weekend a month they have a adage vendor outside, I get my fix of Okinawan malasadas, lol.

V, cara cara used to be my fave before discovering sumo, but you're right maybe I gotta go back to um 'cause of sumo's price.
