Landon made this concoction the other day using some Mi Goreng noodles. He placed some prepared noodles into a frying pan with diced spam and eggs. After the eggs and spam cooked, he flipped the whole thing over and topped with some sautéed cabbage and watered-down oyster sauce for flavor. Then he garnished with Japanese mayonnaise, some sriracha and furikake.
J: ooh sounds like his version of Okonomiyaki. The Hiroshima style?? I think with the noodles. I was jonsing for it so much I bought the batter from Don Q. and made it at home. I realized I actually like the SAUCE more and now put it on my steak. But w/ the batter it makes it so easy and fast.-N
j: yeah the batter is so super duper easy just add water and 2 eggs. The only prob I have with it is, getting the fixings: cabbage and pork to cook thoroughly w/o burning the pancake. I now cook the belly pork strips (also avail. at Don Q) separately and then pile on the fixings. I watched like a zillion You Tubes to figure it out but still it ended up with uncooked parts. I gotta learn the right temp. to cook it, which is low. Also gotta be a no stick pan. I also learned to make small patties to make it easy to flip.I love your recipe for dog biscuits but would you believe it, my dogs don't like PB. I'm like, are you really dogs???? -N
