I hobbled down to Palama Market today with my still-sore back just to get out of the house for a little bit.
While I was there looking at this sale sign and wondering if the mandoo was good a local Korean lady came by and quickly put 4 bags into her wagon.

So I got me one too. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm thinking must be good, yah.

Looks good and fun Jalna! A little more Hawaiian Kine trivia from Mark. Raymond Noh was my good friend from Kahala Elementary since 3rd grade. He lived a block away from me on Diamond Head. His Father was starting a new food company. His dad would always invite me over to taste test all of his new food recipes! So fun and Ono! Now they seem to be more into sauces and drink mix.
And look! Now my childhood friend Raymond is in charge! See their website below.

So, did you buy a bag? Looks delicious.

Mark, ho, that Noh brand is famous!!
Izsmom, I did!! I'm kinda waiting for Landon to prepare it. He does it good . . . like ramen restaurant style.
If the local Korean lady bought 3 bags, then MUST be good, right?
I met the other Noh son - David. Really nice boy (was ages ago). I think he moved to New York. I used to call him the "Noh Prince".
If you want to buy local made kind, there is a banchan shop on the side of 88 Pal Pal Building, mauka side, in the big parking lot from Liona St (behind your old office), next to the Donday yakiniku restaurant (too confusing directions!)
They sell all kinds of banchan (Korean side dishes) and on Thursdays, they get a delivery of hand made mandu that is frozen. Something like 50-60 for $25 or something like that. It's really good.
I heard another place is on Nuuanu St across from Hosoi for about the same price. I'm told all the Korean's buy from either place so must be good. I buy the one off Liona St and it is really good.
I did try the bibigo one too. It is good, meatier than the local ones.

I think it'll taste delicious...yum.
Aunty, must be yah! I still neva make um yet . . .
V, I wonder if you're talking about the egg store. I just went there for eggs 'cause OK Poultry's chickens not producing enough to meet the demand lately and they run out early. I walked into the one across of Hosoi once thinking they made already cooked kind and never did buy. I'll try your recommendations after our supply is gone. Thanks!
Chet, me too!!
i wonder what the regular price is if the "big sale" is $8.79. Kind of expensive, no? I still like try but
