Beware of Counterfeit Products on Amazon

Ever since one of my sisters ordered a Cindy Crawford beauty product from Amazon that turned out to be an obvious knock-off, I've tried to be careful when ordering.

Recently photographer Gary Fong, creater of the Lightsphere flash diffuser, posted a YouTube video warning of such.

He says this on his website:

I purchased some Gary Fong Lightspheres on Amazon to see which ones were counterfeit. We gave Amazon the transaction numbers of the counterfeit items, and they quickly removed the content and closed the stores.

Here's his video:

Amazon used to be a trusted seller, as long as it was shipped by Amazon, I thought it was legit. Now, you just don't know! It's scary! fakespot.com is a site that analyzes the product link and reviews to see if there is a high level of deception, give it a try! Thanks for sharing this post.

Terrible people. Amazon seems to be on the side of the consumer. Paypal, however, is on the side of the seller. I once ordered some beautiful looking clothing from an online source. The models were gorgeous, the products were described as linen, cotton, silk, etc. The more I ordered the cheaper it got, and shipping was free. When I received the items weeks later (from China), the products were so inferior and not of natural fibers, and the amount of fabric used was much less so there was no flow or drape. It was cheap stuff for a cheap price passed off as top quality.
So to get refunded for it, the company said I had to ship it back to them first. Shipping back to China was very expensive and they said they didn't receive the package. Months later, I get my package back with "RTS" on the bag. "Return to Sender". The company kept insisting that I had to mail the returns back to them and it became a nightmare. I didn't want to pay postage to China again and instead wrote to Paypal about this unethical company. I included all the emails and picture of RTS package, etc. Paypal sided with the company.
I don't use Paypal anymore, as much as possible. We do have to beware of scumbags who want to take advantage of us.

Yes have to watch out. I bought these filters that didn't really fit, they kept falling out. Turns out it they never tested it. They gave me my money back and I threw them away.
