Awhile back while driving in Niu Valley I saw this guy crossing the street in front of me. I had to stop to let him pass by e . . . . v . . . . e . . . . r . . . . s . . . . o . . . . s . . . . l . . . . o . . . . w . . . . l . . . . y . . . . I became worried for his safety so I pulled over.
I found a plastic bag in the trunk of my car and I caught him with it. Long story short, one of my sister's coworkers is now taking care of him.
I'm glad because he reminded me of Rango, my all-time favorite chameleon.
j: looks like a young Jackson's, they're difficult to care for unless you know how to do it....gotta drip or spray water as they lick it off and they eat live insects and have special housing needs. There was a huge one walking at our Mililani house, so gorgeous but yeah, I can't care for one, so live and let live. I am so happy you rescued him (think males got 3 horns?) he looks too too skinny -N (PS everything we have here like over 90% are non native and the Jackson's are legal, sold at pet stores.)

That is so amazing. Art says he remembers a long, long time ago when my father happened to catch one too. I've never seen one in Hawaii.
Oh, you made me chuckle when I saw the picture of Rango! So cute, nice deed!
I think those are worth big $$ at the pet shop...

I hate it when people do this to our Islands! I'm serious! It makes me really upset! Next thing you know there will be smuggled pet snakes everywhere!
