The church where one of my sister works received a request from someone at Leahi Hospital for 40 lap blankets.
I busted out my sewing machine and fabric. I'm not quite sure how to sew the blankets yet, but it sure is gonna help to declutter my excess material.

You have a heart of gold, Jalna.
LOL, Les.
Izsmom, that's great!
Chet, I agree . . . such a great idea.
Thanks N. It poured here last night, and the drain sump-thing worked good!
Kat, I love it!
Thanks Kay.
Wow, you have some nice fabric! You have much skill and talent!
i've been using my sweater as one as i've never knew there was such a thing as a lap blanket.
Susan, thanks! I have so much fabric!
Myko, LOL. I think maybe me too didn't know there was actually a lap blanket.
Wow, Jalna...was looking for a recipe on my long-forgotten blog and clicked on your blog to see what you've been up to...I notice you are drawing, sewing...wow, so many talents. Still doing photography? Are you still working? My poor blog has been sadly neglected for a long time, now. I'm busy sewing/quilting. We live in Nevada now and are loving it.
Take care,
Betty Townsend
Hey Betty! Nice to hear from you. I've been on a trip and away from my blog for a few weeks. I am retired now, since the end of last year. Not doing photography too much, but yes, have been taking drawing and watercolor classes. I'm so glad you're loving living in Nevada. Take care!
