My cousin Russell's daughter Kara got married yesterday at the Sunset Ranch in Haleiwa. The wedding was at 3:30 pm. I picked up my mom at 1:30 pm. With one potty pit-stop and beach traffic along the North Shore we arrived in 1 1/2 hours, exactly the amount of time I had expected it would take. The commute went perfectly . . . no wrong turns at all!
I think the Sunset Ranch is one of the most beautiful wedding venues I've ever been to, and Hawaii has a lot of pretty places to offer. It felt so rustic there, with big open fields and horses in a pasture below. So relaxing . . . and I loved how they had different lounging areas set up throughout the estate to do just that . . . relax.
I hadn't seen Kara in a really long time, and I was surprised to see how grown-up she had become. She looked absolutely beautiful.
It's 10:30 PM in Pacific standard time. I was just checking in to see whether you went to swap meet yesterday. I guess not...Jalna, this is very special post. All your photos look wonderful. Great job! The bride is so pretty and darling flower girls. I love it! Congratulations!
Thanks Les. We had 2 hours to kill between wedding and reception, and everybody spent it cruising and having fun. It was great. The little bit of cloud cover and afternoon sun made for wonderful lighting.
Thank you Akemi. You know how I just loooove your photos too. I haven't been to the swap meet in a few weeks, although my sisters have gone without me. I do have a few swap meet pictures to share still though. I'll be posting them later.
Karen shared this with us. We are old family friends. Thanks for putting up these wonderful photos! It was such a beautiful day. Nice to see a photo of my mom, sister and me too!
I love that place too! Went to a wedding back in February, only down side if the porta potty. They also have a house photographer that post wedding photos on their facebook site as well.
I did see a photographer that didn't belong with the "officials". I was wondering if she worked for the ranch. Someone mentioned another restroom in the house, Myko, but I never did check it out.
