Everything played out perfectly, and I did end up at the Lion Exhibit yesterday. When I arrived at the parking lot there was a line of cars waiting for spaces, and I really doubted that I would end up with one, but a car pulled out of its stall just as I was about to exit, and I scored!
I was still crossing my fingers as I headed to the ticket booth though, hoping that the "Lion Exhibit Closed" note would not be posted again. It wasn't. The lady in the booth said that the cubs would be released into the enclosure for public viewing at 11:00 . . . in 15 minutes. Perfect!
I headed straight for the exhibit and and saw that other people were just as anxious and excited as me to see the cubs.
After waiting for a little while a zookeeper appeared and checked out the area.
The cubs appeared at around 11:15. You shoulda heard all the excitement. "Oh, oh, oh . . . here they are!!" "They're sooooo cuuuuute!!" "Awwww."
At first my shots were mostly like this. That's 'cause I was way in the back trying to shoot above heads.
But the crowd soon thinned out and I was able to get right up front close to the glass. It's a good thing 'cause in no time at all the cubs got all pooped out and went down for their naps.
Hahahaha, funny Shun Wah. That's what everybody there was saying. The crowd didn't last long. Luckily, little kids get bored fast, and then they nag their parents to go get something to eat or drink.
