Aunty Update

Aunty fell and dislocated her right shoulder on March 4, about 1 1/2 months ago.  Her arm is still more or less immobile.  Aunty is scheduled to have an MRI next Wednesday.  Her doctor thinks she might have a rotator cuff tear. It's been really scary for me trying to get Aunty in and out of my car.  I'm afraid she's gonna fall again.

Wendell arranged for Handi-Van service to get her to Daycare, and yesterday was her first pickup day. Landon had just gotten home from work when the van arrived so we both waited until the bus pulled away and we waved bye to her.  Bye Aunty.

Aunty can at least feed herself now (mostly left handed), but she still can't bathe or go to the bathroom by herself.  All I can say is, thank God we have a bidet toilet!

I'm going for physical therapy right now for my frozen shoulder and there are several people there with rotator cuff tears.

Awww, thank you Anon. Wendell's a great caregiver. Me, not so much. But I'm learning.

Les, Wendell did think of it early on, but took awhile to get interview appointments, etc.

You got frozen shoulder, Kay? What happened?

Me too, Erick!!

I think I need a handivan too, nah just kidding. My knee still sore, but at least I can walk now. My miracle drug Celebrex didn't work quite as well as I thought it would. See you Monday.
