Awhile back when I first got into photography my favorite photographer was Frank Amodo. I even did a blog post called I Wannabe Like Frank Amodo where I posted all of my Frank copycat shots. You can check them out here.
Now, my favorite photographer is Dallas Nagata White. I just loved her recent Fashion Friday post so much that I wanted to copy her shots too. I realized late last week that the coming weekend would be ideal as far as tide and time of day were concerned, so I took a chance and gave Kristen a call to see if she would be free to model for me. I lucked out . . . she was free today, so we met late this afternoon at Makai Pier.
Thanks Kristen!! I had choke good fun today. Thanks for being such a trooper!

beautiful shots!
Thanks Kat!
wowee....very cool....but how the heck did she get that "whispy" water shot on that red dress...
Nice, too bad my family can't fit on that rock and take a pic too! Just kidding!
From what I can gather Didi, Dallas took that picture at around 6:30, so it was actually 1/2 hour AFTER sunset. The dim light allowed her to use a slow shutter speed which gave movement to the water. Dallas' talent and skills make that shot look effortless. I was just glad to get away with the shot I got.
Mich, maybe next year we can try use that spot for your xmas pictures . . . except you guys going get all wet. Hahaha!
I love your pictures. It came out great!
