I saw a YouTube video where a gal made a Valentine's card using a rubber stamp filled with hearts. I thought it was so cute. I decided to copy it by drawing out the hearts. (I'm retired. I have the time.)
I couldn't resist. But looking at this photo now, I'm thinking why did I pick the ugliest-looking one. I shoulda got a less green one with a bigger knob. Sometimes I don't know what I'm thinking.
It was good. Not the best I've ever had. But good.
What intrigued me the most about this saimin at 7 Eleven was the "DO NOT ADD WATER" part. The container did seem a bit heavy, but for the most part looked liquid-less. It was only $3.79 so I got it.
I confess. The "120 seconds" confused me. I pressed 1 - 2 - 0 on the microwave, but it didn't seem quite right. I stood there. 60 seconds plus 60 seconds equals 120 seconds. 2 minutes! Why didn't they just say 2 minutes? Hmph.
Aaaaaaanyway, this is what it looked like before the 120 seconds.
This is what it looked like after. How in the world, yah?
And the verdict? It was delicious! I would totally buy it again. And again.
This is my Bissell Sweeper. I got it from Amazon 3 years ago on a Lightening deal for $20.80. The regular price today is $28.85. You can check it out here. I love that it's lightweight. It's more convenient than busting out the vacuum cleaner. We have area rugs all over the house now to make it easier for Kona to get up. The sweeper works well on both the rugs and the hardwood floor. I use it at least every other day to sweep up Kona's fur.
Leslie texted me these picture of their lunch the other day, and I thought I'd share them with you. They ordered the fried saimin combo plus crazy rice (about $35 total). Leslie's BBQ Baby Back Ribs.
A few days ago Wendell and I went to Pioneer Saloon for lunch. I forgot to mention the limited parking on my previous post. Luckily, it doesn't bother Wendell at all and sure enough, he had no problems finding street parking for his big truck.
Wendell got the Tonkatsu ($11). He said it was good.
I got the Deep Fried Calamari Legs ($11). It was just awright. I shoulda got the Butterfish.
Wendell picked up dinner for us from Pioneer Saloon a few days ago. I can't believe that it was 10 years ago that I first blogged about the place. You can check it out here if you like. We ordered four plates and ate them family style. Here they are in order of ono-ness (according to me). Somehow, we ended up with all seafood. The guys said that next time they're getting some MEAT. Me? I'm sticking with the BUTTERFISH. So gooood. Miso Butterfish ($14)
Deep-fried Baby Tako with Spicy Mayo ($11). 50 cents extra for mixed grain and bean rice.
Salmon Katsu ($10). 50 cents extra for shiso/wakame/seaweed rice.
