I like their fish plates from over there. So fresh! Usually I don't get the bento because the bbq meat is super dry. I haven't been there in awhile - my friend calls it the slow fast food because it takes a long time to get in line and then have to wait for the food, but it is good and cheap! People grumble because even if you place a phone order, you have to wait in line. Friday is Hawaiian plate day - less than $10 with poi or rice!
J, this post triggered my OCD that I had to get. the bento so I did. WOW their prices are super cheap. Most are $10 with the Japanese deluxe at $13.50. And they give a good amount. Lotta seafood like shrimp tempura which counts me out due to my allergies. The bento was okay but at $10 I can handle okay. I got their chili rice too and it has no beans!! I hate beans, and it's sweet but I really like it Thanks for the 411. -N
Jalna, try their salmon (I forget if it is grilled or fried) or their ahi belly. And go to the window on the left side. Irene is fast.
Or, if got 2 people, one can go to the St. Louis Deli right next door. I like their mini bento (used to be $4 but now it is $6 with chow fun, musubi, luncheon meat, really good fried chicken) and I really like their tofu swimming in sato shoyu sauce.

N, LOL. Glad you went! And thanks for the review!
Aunty, my sister mentioned seeing a line all the time. I love a good lau lau once in awhile.
Izsmom, I usually say "nothing for me" when Wendell asks if I want something from there, but I want to try the bento next time he goes there.
Kat, 👍
