A Couple of Desserts

My nephew Jason made this cheesecake dessert for our Easter gathering yesterday. It was gooooood. He found the recipe here at Tasty website. This is actually the second cheesecake that he's made for us. I blogged about his other cheesecake here. That one was for Thanksgiving 6 years ago and had a pumpkin topping.

Jason's brother Daniel also brought a dessert. His made-up recipe included banana pudding mixed with whipped cream, layered with vanilla wafers and topped with coffee gelatin. It was refreshing and ono.

Here's Daniel's recipe for the coffee gelatin:

1 packet of gelatin to 1 cup coffee
sugar to taste

I used 2 cups liquid & about 1 tbsp sugar, but I left the coffee mainly unsweetened

Bloom gelatin 3 min in cold liquid (50%), add the rest as hot liquid (50%)

Add sugar, stir till dissolved

Pour, put in fridge, about 3 hours

Your family should open a restaurant! Your husband and son can do the main dîshes and your nephews the desserts.
Looks soooo yummy!

Susan, hope you get to try.

LOL, Izsmom.

Chet, and the young ones got new ideas.

Awww, too bad, Dd.

Mich, just added the gelatin recipe.

Les, seems like something you'd make.

They were, Kat!

Renee, I added the jello recipe to the post. For the rest, Daniel said he just made instant banana pudding and mixed in some Cool Whip, then layered with broken up vanilla wafers.
