I was really surprised at how good this melon is. It's almost as sweet as the melon that me and Sweetie had in Hokkaido. And it's pretty firm. Kinda no match 'cause you'd expect a melon so sweet to be softer.

It was $3.73/lb at Marukai. I paid $4.73 for mine. I wouldn't mind getting another one . . . or two.

That's a new one for us. We always get the Sugar Kiss. Don Quijote has it on sale this week for 98 cents a pound!
Have to put this fruit on bucket list on my Hokkaido trip next month. It does look like a cantaloupe, except for the green lines on the rind. I eat cantaloupe every morning.
Gotta go shopping now!
Ohhh...I will have to try it! Thanks for sharing!

Kay, 98 cents!! What a bargain!
Chet! Your trip is next month!! I'm so excited for you!!
Hope you find it, Aunty.
I think you'll like it, Izsmom!
looks good!
wow, it's so vibrant! Looks delicious!
So refreshing, Kat.
Hope they still have the next time I go, Les.
hummm...I wonder if they are similar to "sugar kiss" & "summer kiss" honey dew melons I see in the markets ?? .89/# at Don Q right now ??
I wonder too, Dd.
You really have to try the Sugar Kiss, Jalna. NOT the Summer Kiss though. It's the Sugar you want! Mom says it tastes just like Yubari melons in Hokkaido. I just wrote a post about this to go up a week from now.
Will look for it, Kay.
