Eyeliner

I'm learning that there are a fair amount of you braver-than-me people who have opted to get eyeliner tattoos and really don't need today's tip.

But for you others, here is my new favorite eyeliner.

I got it at Don Q. I think I paid around $13. The da bomb eyeliner that I bought in Japan back in October ran out of "ink", and I liked it so much that I wanted to get something similar. This is the closest that I could find.

How water strong is this? Does it stay on when you tear or cry? All the waterproof eyeliners I've tried comes off at the inner and outer corners of my eye when I put my contact lens in. I hope this one works for me. Thanks. ~e

E, what I like the most is that it doesn't smudge as the day goes on, and it seems to hold up well to tearing. Haven't had a good cry while wearing it though . . .

sheesh I should come see you before I buy stuff. I think my eyeliner was close to $30 from sephora... :(

Holy cow, Les . . . and I thought $13 was expensive!

I did the tattoo eyeliner - but very very very thin. Maybe too thin, but I love it because most of the time I don't put anything on (my eyes). Except when you took my funeral picture, I did use a pencil and added some.

btw, my funeral picture looks AWESOME!

I tried eyeliners but after a few hours I look like a raccoon so I quit eye make up all together. Eye shadow and mascara after awhile makes my eyes all red. I might decide to try this. Tks for the tip.

Aunty, the way your eyeliner looks is EXACTLY how I want mine. And I agree . . . you do look AWESOME in your funeral pictures. I have to smile every time I think about doing them. It's such a great idea of yours.

Hope it works out for you, Susan. I'm almost ready to chuck the eye make up thing too. My upper eyelids sag so much now that you cannot see all my hard work. Sometimes it feels like I'm just wasting my time every morning.

j: I clearly saw your eyeliner and it really made your eyes noticeable in a good way. As an ex-contact lens wearer, using eyeliner is heck as I use to get all kinds of crap flying into my eyes. I was 'crying' all the time so I had to always carry my eye makeup since after crying my one eye no moe makeup and the other one get. Sooooo glad my make-up dayz (along w/ contacts) are behind me, never liked it at all. Though I felt I had to wear it for work. I always wanted an eye tats too but was too chicken. I dunno, with all the allergies I have I was scared to get allergic to the ink. I checked w/ my doc and he said it was such a small chance, but still yet...I never got one. -N

I use Starlooks Pro Eyeliner pen ($18), but yours looks just as good and cheaper. The eyeliner tattoo is sounding so convenient... but the idea of needles by my eye still scares me.

Kat, because I don't want to waste the "ink", I use the pencil type on my upper eyelids, especially since my droopy eyelids cover it up anyway. Bah!

N, I would like to get tattoo like Honolulu Aunty's but I doubt I ever will. Me too . . .chicken.

Dd, maybe Honolulu Aunty will post a picture. I think it's such a good idea.

Thanks for the tip, Kay. I'll keep it in mind.
