When buddy Celia found out that I love Meyer lemons she gave me this box of Dassant Meyer Lemon Cake Mix. She even went out of her way and dropped it off at my working place! Thank you soooo much Celia. Wendell loves any kind of lemon-flavored dessert, so when about a week went by and I still hadn't made it he decided to make it himself.
Wendell is not really a baker so I was pretty shocked when it came out moist and super, super ono.
All you gotta do is add eggs, milk and vegetable oil . . .
and pour into an 8 x 8 inch pan and bake. Doesn't that look wonderful?? You shoulda smelled it while it was baking! And you shoulda ate it fresh from the oven while the top was still kinda crusty. OMGawwwwd!! There was a recipe for lemon icing in the back of the box, but we didn't have any confectioner's sugar in the house.
It really didn't matter to me though 'cause it was still good without it. I couldn't find the cake mix in any of the markets here so when I saw it on Amazon.com I was so excited. It sold as a 6 pack and with free shipping it came out to only $2.75 each box!! Whatta bargain yah! So I ordered it and it came in today!!!
Since I have six boxes of the cake mix, I decided to have a prize giveaway. I'm gonna give away two boxes and some other stuff that I got from Marukai. Hooo hooo!! Exciting!!
All you gotta do is leave a comment here or e-mail me at JalnaA@aol.com saying that you want me to put your name in the drawing. You can comment anonymously, but please make sure you leave me "some class of a name" (quoting Frank here) to identify yourself. Cousins and coworkers are eligible but you still gotta either leave a comment or e-mail me . . . no be shame . . . Lemon Cake . . . and kaki mochi.
I'll have Wendell draw a name next Monday, President's Day, and I'll post the winner then!! GOOD LUCK!
