A couple of new eating places just opened up right across the street from my working place.
At the corner of King and Kaheka is Jin Din Rou. They just opened up today. I walked in today between their lunch and dinner service and asked for a take-out menu. It turns out that they're not ready to do take out yet.
Click here for more on the food.
This is manager Bob Suzukawa. Since there was no take-out menu available, he allowed me to take a picture of their lunch menu, and also let me roam around inside and take a few shots. So nice yeah!
I hope to be able to return and try out their food. Everything looks ono! Their hours are Monday - Saturday 11:00 to 3:00 (lunch) and 5:oo to 12:00 (dinner), Sunday 10:00 to 3:30 (lunch) and 5:00 to 10:00 (dinner).
Update 2/4/11: Couple people informed me that there's no dinner service yet.
New people took over this lunch wagon and it's now called Mobile Grinds. It's in the parking lot behind Jin Din Rou. My coworkers have been raaaaaaving about their food. Wayne said that it's been a long time since he's had a really good hamburger steak plate like the one they make. And Yosh said he would be really, really sad if they decided to move location.
Since I've been dieting I haven't really checked them out, but I did notice today that they have Chinese Chicken Salad on the menu. Supposedly the menu changes daily, so I'm not sure what they'll have tomorrow, but my coworkers promised me that they'll pick up lunch from them so that I can have some food shots for you. I did get a shot of Cathy's hamburger steak and Yosh's Beef Curry today, but I'll post them tomorrow with whatever else food they pick up. Stay tuned.

That lunch wagon is so convenient.
Betty, I would say Chinese, but it's seems kinda Japanesey too yah.
I've seen the sign when I drive by and have been wondering. I thought it had been opened for a while.. another place to check out in the neighborhood. Looks fancy inside.
Shun Wah, it's always exciting when new food places open up. Too bad no more take out yet . . . I don't really have enough time to eat out on a work day.
So this is that place...my friend went and that "ron pou" sorry, is like dim sum, except it has an ono broth inside of it !! This is a chain out of Japan...gotta try it !!
Sounds good, Didi.
