I picked up this bottle of lemon juice from Costco last week for $3.99. The label says, "contains the juice of 40 organic lemons". Also, "Made from organic Sicilian lemons which grow near the Mt. Etna Volcano in Italy . . . hand harvested and juiced immediately". Sounds good yah?!! And cannot go wrong for $3.99.
I made some lemonade using this recipe which I found online. It's called the Best Lemonade Ever, and I really do like it although I prefer to use Meyer lemons. But do you know how hard it is to get Meyer lemons? If anybody got Meyer lemons, can you e-mail me - JalnaA@aol.com. Me and CQ will love you f-o-r-e-v-e-r.
I also got this. Wendell asked me to pick up this pre-soaked kalbi. He said it was in a clear container and said that the label said "galbi". This was the closest thing I could find although it's not in a clear container. WRONG THING. He said, "That's not it. I said clear container. And that's probably more expensive." Okay, okay so I screwed up. It was $11.99 for 2 pounds.
It was just okay . . . not that great.
So today, when I got home from work Wendell says, "Go check in the 'fridge. Now THAT'S what I was talking about." Ooooohhhhh. It's $16.82 for 3 pounds, so it IS cheaper. But hey where does it say "galbi"? Hah? Hah?
Looks good, yeah. Sorry, I don't know when Wendell's gonna cook it. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a picture for you. Wendell said he picked it up at the Iwilei Costco and he's seen it at Waipio too. I don't think Hawaii Kai has it BECAUSE I DIDN'T SEE IT THERE.

Hahaha, thanks Kat!
Soooo Funny! i DONT see 'Galbi'(just to back you up, gurl) but how was the lemonade?? Was it as good as using real fresh meyer lemons or any lemons for that matter?
Thanks for backing me up CQ!! Hahahaha. The lemonade was good, but not quite as good as when we make it with Meyer lemons.
I've gotten "bulgogi" from Costco but it was vaccum packed. Was just ok. Can't beat lemonade made with Meyer lemons.
Betty, Wendell made the bulgogi tonight for dinner. It was really good.
I forgot to tell you...Randy used that lemon juice for his margaritas when costco ran out of the other cheaper lemon juice...no can tell the difference :)
Thanks for the bulgogi! Was yummy and I happened to be starving at that moment!
You're welcome Les, I shoulda brought more.
Does anyone have a recipe for the Costco Bulgogi? I've looked up alot of them but the Costo one uses Saki and I haven't found one yet that seems to include that. I'd LOVE to make it at home since I rarely spend that kind of money on ready to eat stuff (budget can't take it).
email me if you have it.. thanks!
